Will dated 18/7/1739 mentions:
- Farm etc held under Duke of Devonshire, to his mother during her life, then to kinsman John Staley, son of John Staley deceased of Chesterfield, Iron monger.
- "Unto Mary the daughter of the said John Staley the sum of five hundred pounds" when 21
- "appoint Mr Samuel Langford of Leeke in the County of Stafford, and Nicholas Twigg of Holme in the parish of Bakewell, lead merchant, executors"
