Richard Healde, yeoman of Elton, 1593/94
Will dated 20/9/1593 mentions:
- To be buried in the church at Elton
- "Alice my wife shall have and enjoy the one moytie or halfe parte of fearme or Tenement in Elton which I hould of that right worshippfull Mr Godferey Foljambe Esquire"
- other half of moiety "to Roger Wheeldon als Healde my servannt man"
- "to Johane Butlar my wifes daughter eight poundes, And to Elizabeth the wyfe of Edwarde [Glive*] fortie shillings, which Richard Butlar of Hartehill there brother doth nowe owe unto me"
- 10s towards repairs of Elton chapel
- 5s towards "the mendinge of the heighewayes within our libertie of Elton"
- "a sheep to every one of his godchildren"
- "ordaine and make my brother Robert healde of the hill the sole executor ... And I require my very good Freindes .. Johnn Tunstidd gent and George Longden of Wormhill yeoman to be supervisors"
- Witnesses: George Longden, Richard Failes Henry Hotchkinson and Nicholas Whelden
Probate granted 28/10/1594 to Robert Healde, brother
*David Edwards cannot decipher this either but gives ?Slinne in "Derbyshire Wills 1575-1601"
