Sarah was born in Abney in 1811, the daughter of Joseph and Ann, and baptised in Hope on 28th March (1). She had older sisters Mary, Hannah and Elizabeth (three other siblings, Joesph and two unknown, has already died before she was born) (2). A younger brother Thomas was born just before her third birthday (3).
Her mother died in 1828 (4).
In 1830 she moved to Little Hucklow, when she married John Jackson from there on 15th November (5). Their daughter Ann was born just a few months later (6), followed by son George in 1832 (7), and youngest daughter Elizabeth in 1834 (8).
Her father died in Jun 1838 (9), leaving Sarah £8 in his will (10).
Sarah died, aged just 29, on 26th November 1840 (11), and was buried in Hope 3 days later (12). Her husband survived her by just another 2 years (13)
