Solomon was born in Flagg around new year 1673/74 (1), the second child of James Mycock. His older brother Samuel had been born about 18 months earlier. He was baptised in Chelmorton on 18th January 1674 (1). His brother Matthew was born in the summer of 1676, his sister Sara in summer of 1678, and his brother Robert towards the end of 1682. He also had a sister Ruth but her date of birth is unknown, although she died in June 1691.
He married Mary Taylor, also of Flagg, in Bakewell on 23rd September 1700 (2). Their first child, Elizabeth, was born in late 1702 (3), followed by George in 1705 (4), Francis in 1708 (5) and Richard in 1711 (6). Their daughter Elizabeth died in November 1712 (7).
Around the end of 1712 Solomon inheritted five pounds from the estate of his father who had died at the the end of 1710 (24).
His next child was Anne born in 1713 (8), then Mary in 1716 (9), Solomon in 1719 (10), Matthew in 1722 (11), and finally Hannah in 1726 (12).
Solomon lived in Flagg all his life (13), until he died there shortly before being buried in Chelmorton on 20th February 1733 (14). His wife survived him by 11 years (15).
