ROUGH WORKING DRAFT - siblings' details, parents' and wife's deaths to be added

George was born in Chapel en le Frith in 1785, the son of Edward and Martha, and baptised there on 11th March (AAA). (Siblings, and parent's deaths still to be confirmed). He initially followed his father into the butchery trade (BBB).

He married Jane Hall on 25th November 1806 at St Thomas a Becket's in Chapel (BBB), and they initially settled there, where their first child, John, was born the following August (CCC).

Sometime over the next couple of years they moved to Little Hucklow (DDD), where Jane originally came from (EEE), and George gave up butchery to work as a labourer (VARIOUS). Their next son, George, was born there towards the end of 1809 (DDD). Unfortunately he died the following summer (FFF). They had a daughter Martha in 1812 (GGG), then another son, Edward, in 1814 (HHH), but Edward only lived for about a year (III). A aon William followed in 1816 (JJJ), then their youngest daughter Hannah in 1821 (KKK), and finally, the youngest son, Thomas, was born in 1823 (LLL). The youngest daughter, Hannah, died in 1829 (MMM).

George died in Little Hucklow in 1835, aged 50, and was buried in Hope on 21st September (NNN).
